Today’s cigar is the La Gloria Cubana Wavell Maduro. These box-pressed cigars are a little on the stronger side, and they certainly carry the typical maduro flavors. Smooth coffee and pepper flavors are prominent in this smoke, although the complexity of the cigar includes hints of licorice and earth as well. The Wavell maduros are beautifully dark cigars that burn evenly and have a good draw. Although they’re maduros and typically compliment a meal, the La Gloria Cubana Wavell Maduros really are a great all around smoke.
Tasting Notes: Pepper, coffee, and earth.
Strength: Medium to full-bodied.
