Review: A Fuente Anejo Extra Viejo Reserva #50

A Fuente Anejo Extra Viejo Reserva #50(Cedar Wrapped)
I am still a newbie but here goes:

For wtf and anyone interested… a quick review of the A Fuente Anejo Extra Viejo Reserva #50(Cedar Wrapped).
The flavors were really nice… kinda complicated for me to explain, but maybe fruity? The taste was somewhat similar to the Arturo Fuente Hemingway Classic(my favorite so far) that fortytwo offered in a Sunday Sampler back on 11-11-07.
It had a nice build and aroma- both unlit and and while smoking.
But the good ends there. The draw was so tight that I could barely smoke it(much less enjoy it)- which made for an uneven burn. And keeping it lit was a big chore.
This stick came from the store’s walk-in humidor, and half the box had been sold. Most customers here don’t wait… they smoke ‘em when they get ’em. I let it stand in my small humidor for a week or so. But maybe it was still too humid, and should have rested longer.
I will tell the clerk about this the next time I go there.
Anyway, although the flavor was awesome… I wouldn’t buy another one- unless offered by fortytwo here(*hint).
TodaysCigar’s sticks have always been fresh and ready to fire up.
end of my unprofessional review

i read it in the daily offerings posts. unfortunate you could not fully enjoy the anejo goodness. THAT is the one cigar i strongly advocate sipping rather than gulping down. for future info, i dry-box my thin cubans at least a couple of days before torching…lets them calm down…they are best at 62% humidity. maybe that is a good idea for your anejo. i would clip and pre-light draw. if it is tight, put it in an empty cigar box OUTSIDE of your humi…wait a couple of days, and check back on it. if it still is tight 10 days later, it is probably the cigar. i throw it back in the humi for a while and check back at a later date. sometimes it is the humidity, sometimes the cigar.

thanks for the review, though.
